Roof Cleaning in Estacada, Oregon — Eco-friendly Moss Treatment in Clackamas River Country
Soft-wash, no-bleach moss treatment for the fir-shaded roofs of Estacada, Eagle Creek, and the river-road properties out Highway 224 — with a photo-documented inspection on every visit.
Still Clackamas County. Just the pretty end of it.
Estacada sits where the Clackamas River comes down out of the foothills and the Mount Hood National Forest begins — a timber town turned gateway to the river, Milo McIver State Park, and Estacada Lake. For us it's an easy backcountry drive: out Highway 224 through Carver and Barton, past the farms and tree lines, and into some of the most beautiful countryside in the county. It's a regular route, not a special trip.
The same things that make Estacada beautiful are what make its roofs mossy. Tall fir and cedar shade the lots, the river valley holds the damp, and the rain comes harder and lingers longer than it does closer to Portland. Composition shingle, cedar shake, and metal all show up out here, often on the same road, and we treat each one the way its material and age call for. Every visit includes a full roof inspection with photos emailed to you, so you see exactly what we saw before anything is decided.
Every service, dialed to Estacada homes.

Fir needles and cone litter pack Estacada gutters every fall. We clear them, check the downspouts, and photograph anything that needs attention before winter runoff backs up.
Learn more »Pressure Washing
Driveways, decks, and walkways that live under tree cover go green and slick. A low-pressure soft wash brings them back without driving water behind siding or into the wood.
Learn more »Roof Repairs
We catch worn flashing, failed pipe jacks, and lifted shingles while we're up there — and as licensed general contractors we can fix them on the same visit or the next one.
Learn more »Roof Maintenance Plan
Out here a standing annual visit is the difference between a roof that stays clean and one that needs a full moss removal every few years. Scheduled care, eco-friendly treatment, photos every time.
Learn more »Tree Trimming
Estacada lots come with big trees. We cut back the limbs that drop debris and shade the roof, which slows the moss down and keeps gutters clearer between visits.

OUT YOUR WAYWe've worked the Clackamas River side of the county for years — Redland, Boring, Eagle Creek, and the acreage properties between them. Rural doesn't mean forgotten: you get the same in-person inspection, the same photos, and the same honest answer as a house in Happy Valley.
— JNR Industries, Clackamas County
★★★★★"JNR Ind. will be my roof company for life! After getting the run-around from a large, well advertised firm... He was prompt, honest, and knowledgeable... The job cost me hundreds of dollars less (literally)..."
— Cathy G., Redland, OR — a few miles down the river road from Estacada
Close enough to show up.
JNR runs out of the Happy Valley side of the metro. Estacada is about 20 miles out Highway 224 — a 35-minute drive along the Clackamas River that we're happy to make. We bring our own water for sites that need it, and long gravel driveways are no problem.
The treatment matters here.
The Clackamas River supplies drinking water to a large part of the Portland metro, and Estacada sits right on it. Bleach and zinc runoff from a roof treatment is not an abstract concern out here. Our eco-friendly, US-made treatment has no bleach, no zinc, and no peroxide, so killing the moss on your roof doesn't mean sending chemicals downstream.

Asked by your neighbors.
Does JNR really come all the way out to Estacada?
Yes. Estacada is still Clackamas County, and the run out Highway 224 from our Happy Valley side of the metro is an easy backcountry drive through some beautiful countryside. It is a regular route for us, not a special trip, and we quote Estacada roofs the same way we quote one in Clackamas.
Why do Estacada roofs grow so much moss?
Heavy fir and cedar cover, river-valley damp off the Clackamas, and more rain than Portland proper. Shaded north slopes and valley lots out here can go from clean to green in a couple of seasons, so moss needs treating at the root, not just scraping off.
Is the moss treatment safe this close to the Clackamas River?
That is exactly why we use it. Our eco-friendly, US-made treatment has no bleach, no zinc, and no peroxide, so roof runoff is not carrying harsh chemicals toward a river that supplies drinking water to a big part of the metro.
Do you work on rural and acreage properties around Estacada?
Yes. Eagle Creek, Currinsville, Springwater, George, and the river-road properties are all in range. Long driveways and outbuildings are no problem, and we bring our own water when a site needs it.
Do you handle metal and cedar roofs as well as composition shingle?
Yes. Estacada has a real mix of older composition, cedar shake, and metal roofs. We adjust pressure and method to the roof material and its age, and we will tell you if a roof should not be cleaned at all.
How do I get an estimate for an Estacada roof?
Call (503) 432-9093 or use the form on this page. We come out, look at the roof in person, photograph what we find, and send you an honest recommendation. No charge for the visit.
